MUNDO ANTIGUO TOURS - THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS

? Questions and reservations

A different world just outside Cusco

Just outside Cusco lies the lovely Sacred Valley of the Incas. Ruins of Inca fortresses and temples, colourful markets, charming villages where the time doesn't seem to have passed: suddenly you're in a whole other world than hasty Cusco.

We offer various tours to the Valley. For those with limited time the classic Sacred Valley Tour of one or two days is a good option. But actually we advise everyone to stay here a bit longer. A good idea is to sleep in one of the country houses near Urubamba and to organize from there some day trips to for example the salt mines of Maras, the Inca 'agricultural laboratory' of Moray, a traditional Quechua community, or the 'forgotten ruins' of Puma Marca.
Those interested in outdoor sports will also love the Sacred Valley.

Our tours:

Classic Sacred Valley Tour
In this tour that is normally done in one day you'll visit the craftsmarket of Pisaq, the Inca village of Ollantaytambo with its impressive ruins, and the ruins of Chinchero, looking out over the snow covered mountaintops of the Sacred Valley. If you have more time, you can also choose to visit the Sacred Valley in two or more days to have the change to really look around. In that way you'll have for example the time to visit the vast ruins of Pisaq, which are not included in the standard group tour.

Group tours
You can choose between a private tour or a group tour. With a group you can choose to go with a maximum of 15 or a maximum of 25 persons. Group tours normally take the whole day and leave only on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Included: pick-up from your hotel, transportation in modern busses, a professional English speaking guide and written information about the sites you'll visit.
Not included: entrance fees.
Prices: Depending on number of persons in your group. Write us for more information!

Private tours
In our own operated private tours you'll have more influence on the itinerary. You can choose for example to visit only two of the three sites or to do the tour in two days, in order to have the time to really look around. It's also possible to visit the vast ruins of Pisaq, to stay for the night in the Sacred Valley or to visit other places within the Sacred Valley.
Another advantage is that you can do the tour every day of the week. In this way you can avoid the busiest tourist days (the days on which all the groups do the tour)!
Included: pick-up from your hotel, private transportation in a modern car, a private professional English speaking guide and written information about the places you'll visit.
Not included: entrance fees.
Prices: depending on number of persons and itinerary. Write us for more information!

Country houses and day trips
A wonderful relaxing way to absorb the atmosphere of the Sacred Valley is to stay in one of the country houses near centrally situated Urubamba. Starting from there you can easily organize yourself day trips to for example the ancient salt mines near Maras, the Inca 'agricultural laboratory' of Moray, a traditional Quechua community or the 'forgotten ruins' of Puma Marca.
Prices:starting from US $ 35 per night for a double room, depending on the country house you choose. You can easily organize your own day trips, but of course we can do that also for you.
