FLORA & FAUNA
In a country with that many geographical differences as Peru, everyone who loves nature will have an amazing time.
The Colca Canyon is the best place in the world to spot the condor – worlds’ largest flying bird – from nearby, while National Park Manu is the place with the most bird species (over one thousand) in the world. In the Peruvian Amazon you can admire a special flora – only in Manu biologists counted over 15.000 species of plants – and very rare animals like the jaguar, the tapir and the two meter long giant otter. Traveling trough the Andes, apart from the Himalayas the highest mountain range in the world, is without any doubt spectacular. There are many micro climates with constantly changing flora and fauna, due to the huge differences in altitude. |
