THE CONQUEST OF INCA PERU

It’s one of history’s most fascinating stories: a group of about 150 Spaniards in search of personal wealth decides to conquer the Inca Empire, the mightiest civilization, South-America ever has known. Blessed with an incredible dose of fortune they change the future of the continent – and then they murder each other. How 200.000 Incas besiege 200 Spaniards, how the conquests’ leader find their end, how Hernando Pizarro gets into jail, how the first archbishop of Cusco is eaten by cannibals, how Emperor Charles V worries about his redemption and how the Inca Titu Cusi time and time again is smarter than the Spaniards… After studying the amazing rise of both the Spanish and the Inca Empire, we focus on the conquest itself: Francisco Pizarro marches with about 150 men into the immense Inca Empire and manages to capture the emperor and his principal general. Although a gigantic ransom is offered, the Spaniards kill the Inca Atahualpa. After that, they conquer Cusco, and nothing seems to stand in their way anymore.
